Toronto, December 21, 2016 –Echelon Wealth Partners Inc. (Echelon) today announced that veteran research analysts Russell Stanley and Matthew O’Keefe have joined the firm.
Mr. Stanley, who has more than 18 years of capital markets experience including 12 years as an equity research analyst, will cover special situations and the growing cannabis sector. He is a former head of research and brings with him a stellar track record at a number of well-recognized independent boutique firms. He has an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a Charter of Financial Analysts (CFA) charterholder. “I am excited about the opportunity for growth at Echelon and in particular, its strong direction in the independent dealer space,” said Mr. Stanley.
Mr. O’Keefe, who will be covering mining companies, has worked for more than 14 years as a research analyst in mining, most recently as a vice-president and senior analyst. As an exploration geologist, he worked on gold, base metals and diamond projects, including the development of the Diavik and Snap Lake diamond mines. Known for delivering compelling research product and advice, O'Keefe was awarded "Best on the Street" for Mining in 2010 by the Wall Street Journal.
